Officer Garrett Bustamante and Officer Joshua Briese were shot, along with four other individuals, at the scene of a disturbance call in the area of Santan on June 1st, 2024. Sadly, Officer Briese, who was in field training at the time, did not survive the shooting. Officer Bustamante, who was Briese's training officer, was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. Officer Bustamante is currently recovering from his injuries.
Patriot Provisions, in collaboration with several of Officer Bustamante's peers from the various local police and sheriff agencies, are hosting this Hero Tee fundraiser to support Officer Bustamante in his recovery. The shirt depicts a silhouette of Officer Bustamante, dressed in full Class-A uniform, walking into Officer Briese's memorial several days after the shooting. Officer Bustamante's courage, strength, resilience, and respect, after only days earlier being shot in the line of duty, is inspiring to us all. The right sleeve depicts a blue line flag paying tribute to Officer Briese with his name and badge number adorned on the thin blue line.Â
At the request of Officer Bustamante, a portion of proceeds will also support the "100 Club of Arizona" in Officer Briese's memory. The 100 Club in a non-profit organization that supports first responders and their families in Arizona.Â
