Brett Taylor was a larger than life man who served as a special volunteer with the Ventura County Fire Department and Ventura County Sheriff's Department for nearly 50 years. Brett also dedicated his life to serving his community as a volunteer for many public events and non-profit organizations. Brett's personality and smile was infectious, and he left a positive impact on everyone he came into contact with. His life revolved around serving his community, and he loved his Fire and Sheriff family.

Sadly, on March 18th, 2024, Brett was found unresponsive in his home by the very first responders he dedicated his life to helping. Just weeks earlier, Brett had been named the Grand Marshall of the Conejo Valley Days Parade, an honor bestowed upon only a select few in the history of the Conejo Valley. One of Brett's proudest moments was when Ventura County Sheriff James Fryhoff swore him in and badged him in January of 2024.

Patriot Provisions, in collaboration with the Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs' Association created the "Brett Taylor Hero Tee" to honor the service and life of Brett. Brett had a frequent saying: "Good job a little bit." We were able to digitize a hand written note from Brett that had this quote written on it. This quote is proudly displayed on Brett's Hero Tee. A fitting tribute to a man that gave so much to his community.

Proceeds from the sale of this tee will be used to create a public memorial dedicated in honor of Brett, as well as the establishment of a public safety scholarship fund for youth and young adults seeking a career in public safety.
